DDR-Restaurant Domklause
A tasty experience of history
Newly opened in 2010, the GDR Restaurant serves authentic GDR cuisine. The exceptional surroundings of the restaurant, dominated by the mural "in Praise of Communism" makes for a unique culinary experience. Head Chef Hans-Jürgen Leucht, former Sous-chef of the restaurant in the 1980s re-creates the tastes and smells of a state which has disappeared: gold broiler, steak au four and Jägerschnitzel.
